Aditi Rao Hydari made her Bollywood debut with a supporting role in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Delhi-6 (2009), but it was her performance in Sudhir Mishra’s Yeh Saali Zindagi (2011) that helped her entrench herself in the industry. She even won the Screen Award in the Best Supporting Actress category for the film. The 30-year-old actor is in the limelight again, getting rave reviews for her role as Sanjay Dutt’s daughter in the Omung Kumar directed revenge drama, Bhoomi.

In a freewheeling interview with Hindustan Times, Aditi tells us how she keeps herself fit despite her gruelling shoot schedules, and also gives a peek into her idea of romance, her expectations from her boyfriend and much more.

Do you have a set sleeping and waking up time?

When I’m shooting, I follow a very strict routine and make sure I get 8 hours of sleep! But when I’m not, and especially during promotions, it’s hard to follow a routine.

What’s your diet like?

I eat everything in moderation but I don’t have dairy and gluten and I try and avoid sugar. Honestly, it’s a bit hard to ensure.

What’s your workout schedule like?

I usually do circuit training and yoga even when I’m travelling. Even a ten minute circuit helps.

What would you normally eat on your cheat days?

After eight, chaat, pizza... there is so much yummy sinful food!

Heard of Tinder? What do you think of it? What would your Tinder profile say?

Ya ya... I’ve heard of it... swipe right/ swipe left. Not my scene! And if it was I’d just put my passport picture and nothing else, no smart ass descriptions.

Are you comfortable with the idea of being friends with an ex?

It’s totally possible... the person should be worth it!

What is your idea of a date? What kind of a boyfriend would you want?

Dating is too much pressure; ‘Hanging’ is less pressure, more chilled and fun!
